A snake was found inside a car, leaving the driver shocked. The incident took place in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on Friday.

According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, an unidentified woman was driving her car on Hiatus Road when she found the slithering surprise inside her vehicle. She immediately pulled over and contacted the offiials. They rushed to the scene to assist the woman.

The reptile, which was later identified as a harmless rat snake, was released into the woods. Meanwhile, a video of the rescue showed the police officer removing the reptile from the car using his bare hands.

“If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, be sure to remain calm & safely pull your vehicle off the roadway or into a nearby parking lot. Our non-emergency (954-764-HELP) dispatchers can put you in touch with an animal removal service...or a very helpful officer!” the police department tweeted.
