NEW YORK - Suncor Energy plans to begin restarting several units this week at its 135,000 barrel-per-day Edmonton, Alberta refinery after planned work, an official said in a message Sunday on a community information line.

Over the next several days, the refinery is preparing to restart a number of refinery operating units after scheduled maintenance shutdown, the official said in the recorded message.

Earlier this month, Suncor said it has begun routine maintenance at Edmonton. (Reporting by Haitham Haddadin; Editing by John Picinich
