Overshadowed by reports of the massacre in Colorado and the one-year anniversary of the mass killings in Norway by Anders Behring Breivik, a man in Sweden was found guilty of charges he targeted immigrants in the city of Malmo.

Peter Mangs was convicted of 13 charges – including two counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder -- in connection with a twelve-month shooting spree in 2009 and 2010.

Prior to sentencing in September 2012, Mangs will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

About 40 percent of Malmo’s population are immigrants, predominantly from the Middle East and Africa.
