As the world rings in 2023, one of the most impressive fireworks displays will occur in Sydney, Australia.

The New Year's Eve fireworks over Sydney Harbor has become a traditional part of the new year experience.

A broadcast of the full fireworks show is available online from City of Sydney, and can be viewed here. Australian broadcaster ABC1 will start its coverage at 8:30 p.m. local time (4:30 a.m. EST), and it can be viewed here.

The Official Sydney New Year's Eve App for Android and iPhone will also have the live streaming coverage, making it available from your mobile device from wherever you are in the world. It can also be viewed on YouTube.

Over the last two years, cities around Australia celebrated a dull New Year's Eve due to the impacts of COVID-19 and lockdowns. This year, residents and tourists are awaiting a grand show with the first New Year's Eve celebrations since 2019.

Sydney's iconic harbor is set to be lit up with 100,000 pyrotechnic effects as it brightens the skyline. At least one million people are expected to gather around Sydney Harbor.

There will be a total of 13,000 aerial fireworks, including 2,000 to be launched from the Opera House's sails and another 7,000 to be fired from 184 positions off the Harbor Bridge, as well from four rooftops, according to SBS News.

To enjoy comfortable, hassle-free time at the harbor, it is advised that people leave their cars at home and use public transport with major road closures and special events throughout central Sydney.

Apart from Sydney, many other Australian cities will have a fireworks display.

The Victorian government and City of Melbourne are giving $3.94 million into 2022's end-of-year celebrations. Fireworks in celebration zones are set to go off at 9.30pm and midnight.

In Canberra, the eve can be marked along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Enjoy the fireworks displays at 9 pm and midnight.

As there are no daylight savings, Queensland will ring in the new year half an hour after South Australia.

The New Year's Eve fireworks are returning to South Bank Parklands in Brisbane with two shows; one at 8.30 pm and another at midnight.
