Syracuse police said a surveillance video which captured an abduction involving a man pulling a women out a back seat of a car and kidnapping her is a hoax, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Police reported a 17-year-old man and two females whose names have not been released surrendered to authorities on Tuesday and said the incident at the grocery store was all a hoax.

The abduction video was captured on surveillance footage on Monday night around 11 p.m. in the parking lot of Price Chopper.

A possible abduction was reported just after the footage was filmed.

Police said charges are pending and will hold a press conference on Thursday regarding the abduction video as well as "a shots-fired call overnight involving a Syracuse police detective" at a mall, Syracuse.com reported.
