Sheriff’s deputies have arrested the father of one of the women found dead near a convenience store in Bolivar.

Galveston County Sheriff's deputies have arrested the father of one of the women found dead outside a convene store in Port Bolivar on March 7.

Britney Cosby’s father, James Larry Cosby, has been charged with two counts of tampering with evidence in connection with the death of his daughter and her girlfriend Crystal Jackson, Local reports local Houston station KHOU.

As we reported earlier, Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, both 24 years old, were found dead outside a convenience store in Port Bolivar on last Friday. Their bodies were discovered near a dumpster by a beer deliveryman around 7:30 a.m. after he took out some trash. According to local station KRIV, investigators say Cosby was beaten and Jackson, her girlfriend, was shot.

James Cosby, 46, is currently being held in the Galveston County Jail on a total of $500,000 bonds.

KTRK reporter Demond Fernandez also tweeted that deputies told the station that "they believe the murders happened at the home of arrested suspect James Cosby."

Police earlier said they believed the women were killed in Houston before their bodies were dumped at the convenience store where they were found.

The couple had been together for two years. They lived at the home of Cosby’s great-grandmother, and relatives say that the two women had traveled to Galveston for Mardi Gras. Crystal Jackson’s father, the Rev. Ivan Jackson, told the KTRK he last spoke to his daughter on March 5.

This investigation continue and KHOU reports James Cosby's charges could possibly be upgraded to capital murder. Deputies continue to search for Britney Cosby's missing 2006 Kia Sorrento.
