SnapTax is a light version of TurboTax’s software ideally suited for 1040 EZ filers. Users can photograph photos of their W-2 forms to upload them, and after answering a few questions, have their returns filed in a very short period. Similar to the full version available for PCs and Mac systems TurboTax 2010 allows users to both e-file and check on the statuses of their returns. TurboTaxAnnounced in January, IRS2Go is a free app available for Apple and Android devices that allows taxpayers to check up on the statuses of their returns via an encrypted connection. The App also features links to the IRS's Twitter page, as well as a form allowing users to sign up for the IRS's daily tax tips.Platforms: iOS, Android

IRSPageonce, a mobile finance app, was recently gifted with tax-filing functionally via a deal with H&R Block. The Pageonce software itself tracks and organizes users’ financial information, allowing them to set alerts for important events and track frequent flyer miles and phone data usage.
