Gainers

Complete Genomics Inc (GNOM) shares climbed 9.79 percent to $2.58 in after-hours trading Wednesday. The company reported the second quarter revenue at $8.7 million, compared to the $5.9 million and the loss of $0.55 per share versus $0.56 per share loss in the same period a year ago. 

The shares of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc (MDRX) rose 7.60 percent in the post-market to close at $10.33. The company reported Wednesday an EPS of $0.16 for the quarter, lower than the consensus estimate of $0.18. The company's quarterly revenue was up 3.7 percent on a year-over-year basis. The company lifted its full-year adjusted earnings' outlook to a range of $0.77 to $0.83 per share as compared to the previous guidance range of $0.74 to $0.80 per share.

Silicon Graphics International Corp (SGI) shares advanced 7.48 percent to $7.33 in the post-market trading. The company announced Wednesday the non-GAAP fourth-quarter loss of 10 cents per share beating analysts' expectations of a loss of 43 cents per share.

Salix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (SLXP) shares gained 6.69 percent and reached $48.00 in after-hours trading. The company lifted its estimates for the fiscal 2012. The total company product revenue remains at $735 million with an increased adjusted net income of $183 million or $2.86 per share. Analysts were expecting the company to report revenues of $742 million, a net income of $173 million and an EPS of $2.65.

Photronics (PLAB) shares surged 6.23 percent to $6.14 in after-hours trading Wednesday.  

Losers

Boingo Wireless Inc (WIFI) shares slumped 13.33 percent to $7.80 in post-market trading Wednesday. The company announced, Wednesday, its second quarter earnings per share and revenue that were below analysts' expectations. It expects the revenue to be in the range of $25.5-$26.5 million, the adjusted EBITDA to be in the range of $7.5-$8.5 million and the net income to be in the range of $2.2-$2.7 million or $0.05 to $0.06 per diluted share, against the analysts' estimate of revenues of $28.8 million, the EBITDA of $9.6 and the net income of $3.1 and the EPS of $0.08 for the third quarter of 2012.

SunPower Corporation (SPWR) shares plunged 12.58 percent to $4.10 in the post-market trading. The company announced quarter results beating the analysts' expectations, but its third quarter results were below the market expectation. It expects consolidated non-GAAP revenue of $550 million to $625 million, earnings per diluted share loss of ($0.20) to ($0.05). On a GAAP basis, the company expects a revenue of $545 million to $620 million, a net loss per diluted share of ($0.25) to ($0.10), while analysts were expecting the company to report revenues of $730 million and an EPS of 0.01 for the third quarter of 2012.

Monster Beverage Corporation (MNST) shares lost 9.69 percent in after-hours trading to reach $61.20. The company announced its second quarter profit of $109.8 million or 59 cents per share that fell short of the analysts' estimate of 61 cents per share. The revenue increased 28.2 percent to $592.6 million, missing the consensus estimate of $596.1 million.

Career Education Corporation (CECO) shares dropped 7.30 percent to $3.43 in after-hours trading. Barclays Capital is cutting Career Education Corp. FY13 estimate to -0.22 from 0.12. The company's shares had gained 7.87 percent in regular trading Wednesday.

Alaska Communications Systems Group Inc (ALSK) shares lost 5.99 percent to $2.04 in after-market trading Wednesday.
