The top after-market NASDAQ gainers Thursday were Solazyme Inc, Adobe Systems Inc, NIC Inc, Star Scientific Inc and NuVasive Inc.

The top after-market NASDAQ losers Thursday were Cytori Therapeutics Inc, TranS1 Inc, NII Holdings and Lattice Semiconductor Corporation.  

Gainers

Solazyme Inc (SZYM) shares climbed 16.69 percent to $9.51 in post-market trading. The bio products company announced Thursday the successful completion of multiple initial fermentations at ADM's Clinton, Iowa, facility.

Adobe Systems Inc (ADBE) shares gained 5.99 percent to $37.66 in post-market trading. The company announced the fourth-quarter profit of $222.33 million, or 44 cents per share, compared to a profit of $173.72 million, or 35 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

NIC Inc (NGOV) shares rose 4.50 percent to $15.32 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $9.95 - $15.80 and a market capitalization of 947.45 million.

Star Scientific Inc (STSI) shares advanced 3.68 percent to $3.38 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $ 1.56 -$5.05 and a market capitalization of 476.89 million.

NuVasive, Inc (NUVA) shares went up by 3.37 percent to $ 15.35 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $ 11.02, a 52-week high of $25.99 and $646.39 million in market capitalization.   

Losers

Cytori Therapeutics Inc (CYTX) shares declined 6.63 percent to $3.10 in post-market trading. The shares have a 52-week trading range of $ 1.90 - $4.93 and a market capitalization of 195.32 million.

TranS1 Inc (TSON) shares slumped 6.12 percent to $2.61 in post-market trading. The shares have a 52-week trading range of $1.73 -$4.67 and a market capitalization of 75.86 million.

NII Holdings Inc (NIHD) shares dropped 5.03 percent to $5.66 in post-market trading.  The shares surged over 11 percent in regular trading.  

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC) shares fell 3.90 percent to $3.70 in post-market trading. The shares lost over 8.98 percent in regular trading.
