Global Payments Inc. (GPN) shares surged 4.19 percent to $48.00 in post-market trading. The company reported the second quarter net profit of $70.2 million or $0.89 per share, up from $61.2 million or $0.78 per share in the same period last year and also topped Reuters’ estimate of $0.87 per share. Global Payments currently expects its fiscal 2013 earnings to be in a range of $3.01 to $3.08 per share, up from its prior estimate of $2.99 to $3.06 per share.

Radioshack Corp. (RSH) shares surged 3.85 percent to $2.16 in post-market trading. The company stock plunged more than 7.5 percent in regular trading.

USG Corp. (USG) shares gained 2.04 percent to $29.47 in post-market trading. The company announced Tuesday that it would hold a conference call and webcast to discuss the fourth quarter and full year 2012 results Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. EST. 

Alcoa Inc. (AA) shares advanced 1.10 percent to $9.20 in post-market trading. The company swung to the fourth quarter net income of $242 million or $0.21 per share compared to a net loss of $191 million or $0.18 per share in the same period last year. Adjusted net income was $0.06 per share and in line with the analysts’ estimates.

Blyth Inc. (BTH) shares plunged 4.28 percent to $15.56 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $14.01, a 52-week high of $46.15 and $277.36 million in market capitalization.

Teck Resources Ltd. (TCK) shares plunged 2.86 percent to $35.66 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $26.12, a 52-week high of $43.99 and $21.51 billion in market capitalization.

InvenSense, Inc. (INVN) shares fell 2.58 percent to $12.58 in post-market trading. The company stock surged more than 4 percent in regular trading Tuesday.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) shares declined 2.51 percent to $5.82 in post-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $2.10, a 52-week high of $6.04 and $17.94 billion in market capitalization.

CVR Energy Inc. (CVI) shares declined 1.92 percent to $48.31 in post-market trading. The company stock surged more than 5.5 percent in regular trading Tuesday.
