Several people were injured after a double-decker tour bus flipped over on its side at a highway near Indianapolis early Tuesday morning. Indiana State Police, or ISP, reportedly confirmed that 56 people were on the tour bus.

The crash took place on Interstate 65 after the driver veered to avoid a crash that had taken place some minutes ago, The Associated Press reported. The accident reportedly blocked all lanes of traffic on I-65.

Emergency workers at the site stated that six to seven people had been seriously injured, while 20 to 25 people received minor injuries, State police Sgt. Shawn O'Keefe said, according to AP.

The bus was on its way to Chicago from Atlanta, RTV6, a local news outlet reported, citing ISP.
