As the holiday season is officially here, you may want to give that special someone something a little different. But would you buy your wife a pair of unicorns? While the unicorn is a mythical creature, and not real one, a man in New Hampshire claims to be a unicorn breeder, and is selling two for a price tag of $925,000 apiece, as advertised on Craigslist.
IBTimes Reporter Howard Kopolwitz did try to respond to the ad with no avail, and thinks that perhaps the ad is simply a joke. The ad itself calls the unicorns “purebred” and claims that the pair includes a male by the name of Pagasus who is 3, and a female called Daisy who is 5.
The full text of the ad is as follows:
“2 Unicorns for Sale - $930000 (Hartford) We are selling 2 purebred unicorns. Male is 3 years old named Pagasus. Female is 5 years old and named Daisy. Price of $930,000 USD is per unicorn. Unicorns are hand fed from birth, and require just as much attention if you do decide to welcome a unicorn into your home. We are the only fully licensed unicorn breeder in North America, and are NUBAA certified. Call now to be put on the waiting list, on which wait times start at 9 months out SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE We also offer unicorn eggs for purchase.”
Yes, you read that last line correctly; the "master" breeder is also selling “Unicorn Eggs.” While the ad itself appears to be in good fun and harmless, Kopolwitz certainly agreed that this was one of the more bizarre stories he has reported on this year.
