U.S. 2008 greenhouse gas emission fall 2.2 pct: EIA
WASHINGTON - Total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions fell 2.2 percent in 2008 from the year before to 7,053 million metric tons carbon dioxide equivalent, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
Since 1990, U.S. greenhouse gas emissions have increased at an average annual rate of 0.7 percent, the agency said.
