By now, most netizens have seen the hilarious video of “Chewbacca Mom” cracking up after she puts on a “Star Wars” mask. The video’s millions of views landed her an appearance on James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” skit on CBS, where she was joined by "Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams Monday.

The woman who won everyone’s heart is Candace Payne. Instead of singing, which Corden normally does with guests like Adele, there’s a ton of laughing.

The video starts out like most “Carpool Karaoke” videos. The late night host says, “I know that you're pleased with your purchase, but I have got places to go. Like, I have got to get to work. Is there any way we can leave now?”

In response, Payne says her line, “It's not me making the noise, it's the mask! I'm such a happy Chewbacca.” Corden pretends to be unimpressed, saying: "I know you're a happy Chewbacca. You know that doesn't sound anything like Chewbacca, right?"

That’s when the “Star Wars” director pops up from the back seat. Unlike Corden, Abrams doesn’t have any criticisms. “I've got to disagree,” he says before offering her some help. "Can I give you one director's note?" Abrams asks, offering Payne hints on how to be an authentic Chewbacca.

In the end, all three of them put on the masks and crack up in unison.

Payne’s video, which she captioned, “It's the simple joys in life....,” was posted to Facebook last Thursday. It has racked up more than 142 million views and garnered more than 2.5 million reactions and 3.2 million shares.

Payne is a native of Texas who graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, in 2000 with a degree in musical theater, according to her Facebook page. She has been married to her husband, Chris, since 2001.
