Walking Dead
Season 5 episode 5 of "The Walking Dead" will follow Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz, left) on his journey to Washington D.C. AMC

Season 5 of “The Walking Dead” is back on the road in episode 5, “Self Help.” After a couple of hiccups with Terminus and Father Gabriel’s church, Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) will be continuing his mission to get Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) to Washington D.C. in order to help create the cure for the zombie virus.

The Nov. 9 episode will find Sgt. Abraham Ford’s new group – which consists of Eugene, Rosita (Christian Serratos), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) – traveling to D.C. with Father Gabriel’s church bus. Fans of “The Walking Dead” will remember that Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) batch of survivors agreed to split up after Abraham stayed an extra day to help fight off the Terminus cannibals. Abraham provided Rick with a map of their route and asked him to follow, however Rick refused to go anywhere without waiting for Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) to return to camp.

Episode 4 of “The Walking Dead” took a week off from Sgt. Abraham’s journey in order to explore Beth’s (Emily Kinney) storyline, but episode 5 will pick back up with the church bus on the road for D.C. Fortunately viewers don’t have to wait until the episode airs on AMC on Sunday, Nov. 9, because the network released a couple of sneak peek videos to give fans a taste of the action to come:

Sneak Peek #1

The first sneak peek video from “Self Help” shows the newly formed group of survivors on the church bus. With a long trip ahead of them, Maggie tries to make small talk with Eugene by asking how long it will take for him to use his knowledge to help save the world. Curious about the answer, Glenn turns around to listen to Eugene’s response – but it’s just as confusing as his previous answers about the cure.

“Depends on the number of factors, including density of the infected around target sites worldwide,” Eugene says in a monotone voice.

“Target sites?” Glenn questions him. “You talking about missiles?”

“That’s classified,” Eugene responds.

After bickering a little bit about Eugene’s information being “classified,” the doctor continues to mention other factors involved in stopping the virus and starting over. But by the end of the explanation, Glenn doesn’t care anymore.

“Why the hair?” he simply asks, seemingly annoyed with Eugene.

“Because I like it,” Eugene tells him.

Sneak Peek #2

A second sneak peek video from episode 5 shows Abraham using a food can to brutally punch someone repeatedly in the face. By the time Abraham stops, the man is gurgling from the attack. However it doesn’t end there. With blood splattered all over his face, Abraham stands up and puts his foot on the neck of the man he savagely beat.

Who is the man? And what did he do to Abraham or the group of survivors? “Walking Dead” fans will have to wait until episode 5, “Self Help,” airs on AMC on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 9 p.m. EST.
