How Will Breaking Bad End?
A Reddit user claims to have seen the final episodes of "Breaking Bad" and leaked how the series will end online as well as countless other spoilers. AMC

[UPDATE, 8/7/2013 8:51 a.m. EST]: The Redditor who posted the alleged spoilers and ending for "Breaking Bad" told The International Business Times in an emailed statement that the post was indeed fake and "started as a joke."

"I have to admit, the spoilers are not legitimate, except for the first episode, which was taken from another source," Redditor breakingbaaad, who identified himself in the email as Ben Dover, said. "It started out as a harmless joke and boredom. I decided to jot down a quick ending to Breaking Bad to show my friends so I could try to convince they I had obtained the spoilers...I decided to post them on Reddit to see if anyone would buy it, rather than tell my friends."

The Redditor continued on to note how quickly the fake spoilers spread on the social news site, adding, "At this point, I felt like an idiot for letting it go so far."

"I realized that this wasn't just a joke. What if some people had been turned off by the show due to my terrible spoilers? What if some people questioned the integrity of the Breaking Bad staff because they thought someone had leaked it?"

Dover also apologized to the creators of the show for his joke. "I'm really sorry to Vince [Gilligan] and all of the Breaking Bad team for my actions. I did enjoy writing the spoilers and predicting where the show would go, but the bottom line is that no one can match the writing talent of the Breaking bad Staff. It was just a dumb thing to do and I almost feel as though I lost my privilege to watch this awesome show. I would like to think they would forgive me but who knows?"

It was all a matter of time until someone on Reddit claimed to know someone who saw the show who knew someone who wrote the show who, and so on and so forth until the inevitable leak.

Well, it happened. One user on Reddit claims to have seen all eight episodes for the final stretch of “Breaking Bad” and leaked a whole ton of spoilers, enough to make a fan’s head spin, on the socal news site.

It all began when Reddit user breakingbaaad posted “I’ve seen all of season 5b” in the “Breaking Bad” subreddit section on Monday. The user, who also gave his email, gave plot summaries for the first two episodes and posted the remaining six on Imgur (WARNING: the previous link could possibly contain spoilers). The post reassured the user’s credibility and said the information was correct because the Redditor knows “someone who was involved with the show.”

However, one of the show’s directors confirmed that the leaked information was false. Twitter user @coltonwise tweeted to Rian Johnson asking if the Imgur post was true. Johnson answered him later on Tuesday, saying, “rest easy, they’re very fake.” For those unfamiliar with him, Johnson has directed three episodes of “Breaking Bad:” “Fly” from season three, “Fifty-One” from season five and “Ozymandias” from season five, part two.

The International Business Times has reached out to the Reddit user who claims to have seen the entire second half of the season and posted the spoilers, but has not yet heard back.

Whether or not this leak is true will remain a mystery until “Breaking Bad” wraps up on Sept. 29. So far, all we do know is that the show will not end well, thanks to its tagline “All bad things must come to an end.”

“To quote a famous movie, there will be blood,” Gilligan told The Los Angeles Times of the show’s ending. “It’s not gonna end pretty,” Aaron Paul, who plays Walter White’s sidekick Jesse Pinkman, said in a “Breaking Bad” video exclusive. “It is called ‘Breaking Bad’…The likelihood of things getting better are not so good,” Cranston said in another exclusive video. “It’s a roller coaster ride to hell.”

But, for those of you who want to fanaticize about the leaked post on Reddit being real, or just want to hear a possible prediction, here’s a summary of the leak on Reddit.

According to user breakingbaaad, [SPOILER ALERT] the series ends Walter White blackmailing his brother-in-law Hank Schrader into keeping his real identity of Heisenberg to himself. Hank eventually loses his job and continues to obsess over Heisenberg. Jesse attempts to come clean, though begins using drugs again, before joining forces with Hank. Todd is killed by Walter after his protégé attempts to cook meth for the Czech mob after Walt quits the business. Skyler gets shot dead by the Czech in revenge for Walt killing Todd. Walter Jr. and Holly move in with their aunt and uncle and Lydia is locked up in prison for helping push meth. Then, the Redditor claims, Jesse is kidnapped by the Czech gang and forced to cook, until Walt rescues him and inevitably poisons him with the ricin he saved from season five, episode two.

What do you think of this ending suggested by the Reddit user? Do you have predictions of your own? We want to hear them!
