Western Digital on Monday has begun shipping its first 1TB Serial ATA hard disk drive for $250 with 333GB per platter technology.

The new line of Scorpio Blue hard drive for laptop features 2.5 inch, a Whisper Drive technology, shockguard and SecurePark and is available for 750GB version for $190, on a 12.5mm height.

Our new WD Scorpio Blue drives enable people to take even more of their digital collections with them wherever they go and, realizing the value of their data, back up their notebooks on their My Passport drives.

The Scorpio Blue hard drive also is design of portable storage solutions such as My Passport Essential SE portable drive in the 1 TB capacities for $300.
