As the MTA begins it work on the Seventh Avenue line this week, the 1, 2 and 3 trains will be shut down between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. until Thursday this week as part of its Fastrack Program.

While the lines are closed, maintenance workers will repair tracks and switches, replace rail components and perform power and signal maintenance program.

The Fastrack Program is part of a system-wide repair of the city-wide subway system, which began last month with the Lexington Avenue line.

Later this month, the MTA will shut down the Sixth Avenue B, D and F lines for maintenance. In March, the Fastrack program will come to the A, C, and E lines.
