Patricia Arquette is the favorite to win best supporting actress at the 2015 Oscars for her portrayal of a single mother in “Boyhood,” but the actress was not single on the red carpet Sunday. The 46-year-old arrived at the 87th Academy Awards with her beau on her arm, artist Eric White.

Arquette’s boyfriend may have been an unknown to many fans watching the red Carpet festivities, but he is a major name in the art world. White, 46, is a painter and visual artist based in New York City whose work is influenced by surrealism and neo-realism. He previously attended the Rhode Island School of Design.

Many celebrities have purchased works by White, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Courtney Cox. In fact, a 2008 interview may reveal how Arquette and White first met. Apparently, Arquette and her actor brother, David Arquette, invited the artist over for dinner after purchasing multiple works over the years – David Arquette once showed off White’s paintings on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.

White has been a fixture next to Arquette throughout the awards season, appearing with the actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Independent Sprit Awards, among others. He was once again accompanying the actress on the red carpet at the Oscars. Arquette is considered a lock for the best supporting actress win. However, fans will have to wait to see if there are any surprises.
