The 2019 WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view is the next big thing for wrestling fans with the winner most likely becoming the next WWE heavyweight champion. It is set to go down this coming Sunday, May 19 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. There will be a men's and women's version of the said contest although the participants in the male edition have been tweaked after the last RAW episode.

In the main event of the May 13 episode of WWE Raw, Sami Zayn got the opportunity to steal the slot of man-mountain Braun Strowman. On paper, there is no question that the former NXT champion has low odds of winning although that was covered thanks to the intrusion of two other individuals. They were Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin.

In a fall count anywhere contest, Zayn aligned with the two heel wrestlers in bringing down the Monster Among Men. With two ring enforcers by his side, the 34-year-old hardly needed to tangle with Strowman. In the end, McIntyre and Corbin did just enough to keep the behemoth on the ground, allowing Zayn to pick up the win, WWE.com reported.

Following the results of WWE Raw, the main protagonists for Money in the Bank will now be Zayn, Corbin, McIntyre, Ali, Ricochet, Finn Balor, Andrade, and Randy Orton. It won't come as a surprise if Zayn tries to re-align himself with Corbin and McIntyre in the early goings and then turn on them at an opportune time. All a participant has to do is climb the ladder and get hold of the briefcase and he can cash it in at any time against a champion of his choice. It could be against Kofi Kingston or Seth Rollins, the heavyweight champions for SmackDown and Raw respectively.

Of the eight wrestlers, there is no doubt that Balor looms as a favorite. Zayn could pull off a fast one although he may need to address the fact that Strowman may eventually show up and prevent him from getting the MOTB briefcase, Fansided reported. There is also Corbin and McIntyre who are likely aware that Zayn will be a nuisance to their title aspirations.

Practically all have equal chances at WWE Money in the Bank this coming weekend. Hence, it all boils down to who plays it safe and overcomes the odds - meaning alliances may happen but only for a limited time. It is every man for himself and that what makes MOTB something worth watching.
