Louis Tomlinson is extremely happy to be a daddy. The 24-year-old first-time father broke his silence Saturday on his close friend Briana Jungwirth giving birth to a baby boy, tweeting that he was "very happy."

"I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday," he wrote. "He is healthy and pretty amazing."

While Tomlinson has finally commented on the arrival of his baby, the One Direction singer and Jungwirth have not yet released any information about the child. TMZ reported a fake baby photo has been floating around the internet, but sources close to Jungwirth said the pictures are not real.

The outlet also reported the "Drag Me Down" singer was at the hospital when Jungwirth gave birth, despite reports he missed his son’s arrival. The Los Angeles-based stylist and the baby are reported still at the hospital and doing fine.

As previously reported, Tomlinson is determined to co-parent with Jungwirth even though the two are not dating. It was rumored in December they had split after trying to work things out.

However, another report suggested Jungwirth and Tomlinson were never a couple but are extremely close friends.

“Louis didn’t expect this, but he’s excited for it,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s become very close friends with Briana this year and now they are looking forward to being parents. He’s definitely going to be there and be a great dad for their baby.”
