Representative James Clyburn on Louisiana said on Thursday that current health insurance reform proposals currently being considered in Washington won't cover certain people.

Top Washington politicians are gathered in the capital at a health summit convened in Washington today.

No matter the plan we develop, there will be many people left uncovered and we need a safety net for those people, Clyburn said.

He proposed a significant expansion of community health centers, an idea he said is not being included in the current legislative bills which have already been passed by the House and Senate.
