Rafa Nadal won a record tying six French Open titles today after defeating Roger Federer in 4 sets. The victory gives Nadal a total of 10 majors and equals Bjorn Borg for French Open titles.

For today, we played, I think, a good match, said Nadal said. He then apologized to Federer for beating him. Sorry for that and well done to his team.

Long time rivals, Nadal and Federer have not played each other in the Grand Slam final since over 2 years ago. IN Grand Slam final matchups, Rafa Nadal owns a winning 6-2 record against Federer.

To win this final against one of the best players in the world and in history is something which is really fantastic for me. It's one of my most beautiful dreams, said Nadal.

Nadal won over Federer with 7-5, 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-1 sets. Federer made a valiant effort being down 2 sets to none by winning the third.

You're not thinking of winning down two sets to love and 4-2, but you're thinking of coming back and turning around the match. All of a sudden at 0-0 in the fourth set you think, 'OK we have a match again,' said Federer.

But Nadal dominated the fourth set to earn the title, making him the second youngest to win 10 total titles.
