  • NBA TV host Kristen Ledlow reports that the team is having difficulty in what to do next with Ben Simmons
  • The 25-year-old recently told his teammates that he is not mentally ready to play
  • Everyone involved in the matter is fed up with the situation, especially the fans

The Ben Simmons saga continues to drag on, and sources close to the situation are reporting that Philadelphia 76ers management is split on how to move forward.

According to NBA TV staple Kristen Ledlow, a faction within the Sixers organization believes that “they should welcome him back” since he is such an important piece, while another told her that they have to “move forward” as relayed by Sixers reporter Kyle Neubeck.

The drama from the Sixers’ elimination during the playoffs to the Atlanta Hawks has carried over into the season and it has been a drawn-out one that has tired NBA fans and reporters alike.

Everyone is already aware of what had happened in the offseason like Simmons asking for a trade, the Sixers standing pat with their ludicrous yet reasonable demands of an All-Star caliber player in return, and continuing to fine the Australian for not appearing in any team-related activities.

The most recent development that fans may have missed out on is Simmons getting kicked out of practice and him reporting back issues to the Sixers’ medical staff that he is not mentally ready to play.

Many, if not all, fans are on the side of the Sixers when it comes to Simmons since the 25-year-old point forward had just agreed to sign a massive extension worth $177.2 million over the next five years last season.

The Sixers have been having a hard time trying to trade Simmons because teams do not want to deal with his diva-like mannerisms and possibly interested parties do not know whether his level of play will be able to justify the contract he had just signed.

No matter how the Sixers deal with this problem moving forward, everyone only wants one thing: to put an end to this never-ending story by either trading him to whichever team is still interested or making concessions to have him back on the court.
