Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip visited with Britain’s Prime Minister at Number 10 Downing Street to celebrate the prince’s 90th birthday with a lunch.
This was the royal couple’s first such visit since 2002.
Reportedly, the Queen, The Prince, Prime Minister David Camerin and his wife Samantha feated on a meal of Stilton cheese and watercress tart followed by Inverurie beef from Aberdeenshire in northeast Scotland.
For dessert they devoured peaches and nectarines with ice cream.
Cameron had earlier praised Phillip as a man who has given his time and effort and passion to so many great causes up and down the country, across the Commonwealth and indeed the world.
