TSX lower as financials hurt by Europe doubts
Toronto's main stock index was lower on Monday as financial shares were hurt by European debt uncertainty after a meeting between the leaders of Germany and France failed to yield any hard plans on how to tackle the euro zone's lingering debt issues.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 22.68 points, or 0.2 percent, to 12,165.96 shortly after opening slightly up.
