UPS profit jumps 44 percent, sees record in 2011
United Parcel Service, the world's largest package delivery company, said quarterly profit jumped 44 percent and it expects record-high profits in 2011.
The economic bellwether's fourth-quarter operating profit rose to $1.81 billion, or $1.11 a share, from $1.26 billion, or 75 cents a share a year ago. Revenue rose to $13.42 billion from $12.38 billion.
