  • Waltman is open to joining regular shows but faces heavy competition

In the wrestling world, some superstars take the adage “never say never” to heart. Legends such as Bill Goldberg and Edge probably the best examples of WWE stars that just won’t quit.

In AEW, there is Sting who shocked many with his ring return.

Looking at the list of people who have come and gone from the WWE, there are a lot. But if there is someone who quietly made an impact, it has to be Sean Waltman or better known to wrestling aficionados as X-Pac.

The 48-year-old WWE Hall of Famer has been most seen doing podcasts although he has made short appearances when needed.

The last time most saw him compete was when he teamed up with Hurricane Helms and Jushin Thunder Liger in a six-man tag match against Caleb Konley, Jake Manning and Zane Riley at the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial SuperShow.

But as it turns out, X-Pac was hardly seen throughout the years. The limited appearances are great, but it turns out he was dealing with several health issues. One included a fight against Hepatitis C, something that cost him $100,000 to cure.

He revealed on a recent episode of X-Pac 1-2-360 that is now clear but has one final problem to fix–his ACL.

“Just this year. I hadn’t mentioned it publicly. It cost $100,000 for treatment. It’s $1,000 a pill, one pill every day. I feel great. Some people are going, ‘How come he never came back?’ That’s the reason,” Waltman said.

Waltman revealed that he has been dealing with it since 2008. He plans to have it fixed next year and then hopefully get some more matches. Like Sting and Goldberg, X-Pac feels that he has something left in him.

“I’m going to get my knee fixed, I’ve had a torn ACL since the turn of this decade, like 2008 or something. I’m going to get that fixed and sometime next year, I’ll put myself on the market, have a few more matches,” he explained.

X-Pac will have to go through a lot to make it all work. He is open to doing a regular schedule but is likely to be limited to short-time storylines for starters.

He may not be as big a draw as Goldberg or Sting but remains one of the beloved icons the wrestling world is familiar with.
