Following the unsurprising loss of Brock Lesnar to Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 35 recently, most are now playing the guessing game on what lies ahead for the Beast Incarnate. Some are still toying with the idea of seeing him resurface once more although it may no longer be in the WWE ring.

Instead, Lesnar may eventually pop up in the Octagon where he may take aim at the UFC heavyweight title. His return to the UFC has long been anticipated, especially since he and Daniel Cormier crossed paths after the latter defeated Stipe Miocic last summer, USA Today reported.

The last time Lesnar saw action in the UFC was way back in 2016 at UFC 200. He faced and won over Mark Hunt although the results would, later on, be overturned to a no-contest due to failed drug tests. Recall that at the time, Lesnar was still appearing in the WWE and both promotions worked something out.

That said, it could be the same scenario as the WWE tries to make do with its current stars and leave the door open for Lesnar to return. Besides, a successful return by Lesnar in the UFC circle could also benefit the WWE – unless Dana White and company strike up an exclusive deal with the Beast Incarnate.

Those are just some of the scenarios for the WWE and Lesnar, someone who has drawn criticism for his on-and-off appearances. Apparently, this was the arrangement the 41-year-old had in place with WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Unfortunately, it also meant seeing the WWE heavyweight title left in an idle state and vied for only during select WWE pay-per-views.

As for the UFC, it looks like Cormier is ready and down to get it on with Lesnar. According to a report from TMZ Sports, D.C. has urged White to get down to work and make the fight happen.

“Dana, get on the phone right now,” Cormier said. “If you haven’t called him yet, do it today. What are you waiting for? Let’s get this shit on the books. Let’s get this on the books.”

As of this writing, a date for a potential Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar fight has yet to be suggested. Regardless, it seems Cormier is hell-bent on facing the Beast in the cage. There is no telling what shape Lesnar is in although D.C. may want to be careful about what he is wishing for.
