The 2014 Dodge Durango is being revealed at the 2013 New York Auto Show on Thursday. Dodge is promising many new features in 2014 Durango, but has remained tight-lipped before the global debut.

The 2014 Dodge Durango will be a three-row SUV that promises "state-of-the-art technology" that will improve its function and form. Expect a more stylish look from Dodge as it tries to compete with other automakers in the popular segment of vehicles. Fuel efficiency was also one of the 2014 Durango's selling points ahead of the reveal. While some photos have leaked in advance, many details and specifics are still unknown.

The Durango's has plenty of elements, including the LED rear lights and the front grille, that look like they would be right at home on the racetrack. Autoblog points out that some of the 2014 Durango's style elements are in line with the Dodge Dart and the Dodge Charger. The full-size SUV will have plenty of towing power and will include either a Pentastar V6 engine or a Hemi V8 engine with either 300 or 400 horsepower, respectively, notes Jalopnik. The eight-speed transmission will improve handling but still have the towing capability that people have come to expect from the Durango.

Despite many other automakers focusing on crossovers or mid-sized SUV's, such as the 2014 Toyota Highlander and 2014 Jeep Cherokee, at the 2013 New York Auto Show, Dodge is focusing on a larger SUV that is, traditionally, more American in its appeal.
