After four years of being MIA, Jack Bauer has decided to come back into our lives and return to the small screen with guns a-blazing. That means fans of the hit Fox series, “24,” will finally be able to get their fill of drama when the show’s spinoff, “24: Live Another Day,” airs its two-hour premiere on Monday, May 5, at 8 p.m. EDT. So hurry up and finish your celebratory Cinco de Mayo margarita because it’s time to watch Kiefer Sutherland reprise his badass role and save the world once again.
During the two-hour event, “24: Live Another Day” will air both the first and second episode of the 12-episode long season. And according to reports, viewers should expect a lot of drama to go down during those hours when “Day 9: 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M” and “Day 9: 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M.” air.
“24: Live Another Day” was set and shot in London, which means one thing: international disaster. According to the series plot, Jack will risk his life and freedom, despite being dubbed an exiled terrorist, to avert yet another global disaster. We’re talking about an event that’s bigger than the assassination of a political leader on foreign soil. Luckily, Jack let us in that the issue he’s dealing with has something to do with drones.
“Tracking Jack are CIA head Steve Navarro (Benjamin Bratt, 'Law & Order'); CIA agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski, 'Dexter'), who are both resourceful and ruthless,” the synopsis for the premiere of “24: Live Another Day” explained.
But don’t worry. Jack won’t be outnumbered. He’ll have his trusty side kick Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) right by his side throughout the spinoff. Well, that is if Chloe can overcome the darkness she’s been dealing with for the past few years. The last time we saw Chloe she was helping Jack escape the country, which consequently left her paying a huge price.
Will the two find their strength to outsmart the CIA and save the world from an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever? Find out tonight when “24: Live Another Day” airs the premiere of the show’s real-time, pulse-pounding and fast-paced storyline.
