"Fifty Shades" of Grey, E L James' S&M erotica, has sat atop The New York Times' Best Sellers list for seven weeks straight. Casting for the movie has already caused a buzz, despite the fact that no solid offers have been made. Many young Hollywood heartthrobs are rumored to be in talks for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" leading role of Christian Grey. Ian Somerhalder is the latest glove thrown in the ring. Reuters

Fans of "50 Shades of Grey" have spoken, and they seem to know exactly who they want to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. While numerous names have been thrown around for Grey, including Ryan Gosling, and "True Blood" hottie Alexander Skarsgard, it appears that fans only have eyes for "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder. As for Steele? Despite big names like Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Stewart, Emmy Rossum and Nina Dobrev, "50 Shades" fans seemed to have decided on "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale.

To enforce their casting desires, fans of the kinky love story have pieced together a 30-second teaser trailer of Somerhalder and Hale...and boy is it hot! The video does not contain any footage directly related to "50 Shades of Grey," but instead scenes from their individual projects that show how steamy this couple would be on screen.

Playing Halestorm's cover of the Beatles hit song "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," the teaser shows some hot footage from Hale's "Pretty Little Liars" and Somerhalder's "Vampire Diaries." Filled with clothes dropping, longing looks and heads hitting pillows, the two shows mashed up surprisingly do have a "50 Shades of Grey" feel to them.

The video doesn't seem that far-fetched because both actors admitted that they would love to tackle the movie version of the hit books. Lucy Hale revealed to Haute Muse magazine that as a "huge fan" of the books, "Obviously I'd be thrilled to be a part of it."

Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder told late night talk-show host Chelsea Handler that starring in the film would be "really cool." "I play a 175-year-old vampire who's in love with an 18-year-old, so technically I have a lot of...I'm good with younger women," Somerhalder told Handler.
