Original story:

A suspected shooter was gunned down in Texas on Sunday night after he allegedly killed seven people inside a Plano home, according to reports.

Plano police were called to the scene a little after 8 p.m. EDT when shots were heard from the home along West Spring Creek Parkway.

An officer who was nearby answered the call, police spokesperson David Tilley told Dallas News. "After he heard the gunshots, he made entry and that's when he observed several victims inside and then engaged the suspect," Tilley said. He added: "I've been here all my life. I've never heard of anything like this."

Eight people, including the suspect, were confirmed dead and two others, who were injured in the attack, have been hospitalized. The motive of the shooter is not yet clear, NBC 5 reported.

Social media users said the seven victims had gathered to watch the football match between Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants being aired on television. However, the police have not confirmed this yet.
