Aaron Carter was involved in a traffic accident on Monday, but his rep confirmed that he did not get injured.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the accident happened in St. Petersburg, Florida, not very far from the singer’s home. At the time of the incident, Carter was driving his BMW M4. He later on revealed that the vehicle was totaled. His rep released a statement to the publication, saying, “Fortunately no one was injured. Aaron is fine and resting at home.”

A day after the accident, Carter took his thoughts about the accident to Twitter and said that “life is really so precious.” He added that he didn’t mean for such a thing to happen and thanked his fans for all of their love and support. But after one fan asked what exactly happened, Carter replied that his air bags went off and that he has cuts all over his body.

The “I Want Candy” hitmaker also claimed that his nose was broken following the accident. But a source later on clarified that this was not true. “Police were called to the scene and drove Aaron home and his car was towed,” said the insider.

In July, Carter also made headlines after he was arrested on a DUI charge, as well as possession of marijuana and other drug-related objects. Following his arrest, Carter spoke with Entertainment Tonight to explain what really transpired before and during his arrest. According to him, he and his then-girlfriend, Madison Parker, bought a car that was in bad shape.

“Somebody said I was driving recklessly on the road, and that’s what the police report said, but the alignment was off on my car, so I went to AutoZone to see if I could do anything about it. A motorcyclist reported that I was swerving all over the road, but the alignment was off a little bit on the new tire,” he said.

Carter also said that he wasn’t under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of his arrest. “I do not drink alcohol at all,” he said. But nine hours prior to his arrest, Carter admitted that he smokes marijuana to cope with his anxiety and chronic pain and to help increase his appetite.
