ABB wins Saudi steel plant power equipment deal
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Swiss group ABB Ltd said on Wednesday it won a contract to supply electrical and automation equipment to a new steel plant in Saudi Arabia but did not disclose the value of the deal.
ABB would provide the equipment and related services for a new seamless tube mill and pipe production plant project in Jubail, on the Gulf's east coast, it said in an e-mailed statement.
The project is a joint venture between steel maker ArcelorMittal and the Saudi-based Bin Jarallah Group, ABB said.
