It looks like the team will start to question Skye’s motives in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I. E.L.D.” In two new sneak peeks from Season 2, episode 20, the group wants to know everything about Skye’s (Chloe Bennet) recent experiences and new family. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent wants to protect her new friends but Coulson (Clark Gregg) isn’t okay with secrets when they’re not his own.

Sneak Peek No. 1

Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) is still unconscious after Hydra captured him, and it seems Skye won’t leave his bedside. Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) tells Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) that Skye won’t open up to her at all. Instead she focuses on Kara (Maya Stojan), who is no longer under the influence of Hydra. Simmons tells her that anything Hydra did to her brain is completely gone.

“Honestly, I think knowing Bakshi is gone has helped more than anything. You know as well as I do what a monster he was,” Kara says.

Simmons looks a little guilty. It doesn’t seem like Kara knows that Simmons was planning to kill Ward (Brett Dalton) on the mission, not Bakshi (Simon Kassianides). Their conversation is interrupted by flickering lights. Lincoln’s powers are acting up as he regains consciousness.

Skye tells Lincoln that he’s safe, but once Lincoln sees the S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol, he doesn’t believe that. He says that she shouldn’t have saved him. “I had to,” Skye says. “Jiaying wouldn’t allow it if—”

“There’s a reason for that. The only thing that’s kept us safe all of these years is that we were a secret,” Lincoln says. “Now S.H.I.E.L.D. knows we exist, and they won’t stop until they find Afterlife.”

Sneak Peek No. 2

Coulson is questioning Skye about something he believes is related to people with powers. However, Skye says that she and Lincoln have never heard of it before. Coulson doesn’t believe that Lincoln is telling the truth.

“He and Jiaying helped me,” Skye reasons. “They never tried to hurt me. They taught me to channel my powers so I wasn’t hurting myself. These are good people, Coulson.”

“Are they? People, I mean?” Coulson asks. “Look, I know you feel connected to this group, but you won’t tell us much about them.”

Coulson says he doesn’t even know what to call them. “Inhumans,” Skye says. “Our ancient ancestors called themselves Inhumans and we just want to be left alone.”

May (Ming-Na Wen) questions their motives, and Skye claims that the Inhumans are just afraid of what S.H.I.E.L.D. will do to them. May says that they’re still dangerous.

“The same could be said about you, May,” Skye says. Skye reveals that she knows that May killed an Inhuman little girl in Bahrain. Skye asks if she knew they were Inhuman and May stays silent. “You, of all people, should understand why they’d want to keep their location a secret, what they’re so afraid of,” Skye explains.
