‘Agents of SHIELD’ Season 3 Spoilers: Simmons Fights To Survive In Sneak-Peek Videos From Episode 5

How do you survive on an alien planet for six months? “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will answer that question in Season 3, episode 5 with flashbacks to Simmons’ (Elizabeth Henstridge) life after the monolith transported her. After revealing to Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) and Fitz (Iain De Caesteck) she wants to go back to the unknown planet, audiences will finally see what happened while she was trapped. Sneak peeks give a glimpse of what she endured, and it certainly doesn’t look like a vacation.

Sneak Peek No. 1

The first clip takes place shortly after Simmons arrives on the planet. The scientist uses her phone to record her findings. “Although conditions seem favorable for extraterrestrial organisms, there’s no immediate sign of life nor any noticeable vegetation or water,” Simmons realizes. That isn’t exactly a good sign for survival.

Still, she believes Fitz will open up the portal again to save her. She is very hopeful her love will come to her aid. “After all we’re going for dinner,” she reasons. She looks at a picture of him on her phone before taking a nap to make the time pass.

After she lays down, she hears a noise that startles her, but no one is around. She wonders how long the night will last. “There has to be a sunrise eventually,” Simmons says.

Sneak Peek No. 2

Simmons isn’t taking any naps and waiting for a rescue team in this clip. It’s been three weeks, and she has to eat for survival. “Unfortunately, the only source of food also thinks I’m food,” Simmons says.

She makes a spear and goes into some sort of pond. She is quickly pulled under by something alien, but she emerges after a few moments with an alien plant. “You’re dinner, beyotch!” Simmons shouts with excitement.

The chemist builds a fire and cooks her dinner. She records a message for Fitz telling him about her success, but she suddenly becomes sad. “Wish you could’ve been here,” Simmons says. “Actually, no, I don’t. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
