Disney has released the first Alice in Wonderland trailer, giving us the first glimpse of the highly anticipated film directed by Tim Burton.

Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, and 19-year-old Australian newcomer, Mia Wasikowska, as Alice.

Other stars include Alan Rickman (as the Caterpillar), Michael Sheen (as the White Rabbit), Stephen Fry (as the Cheshire Cat), Christopher Lee (as the Jabberwock), Crispin Glover (as the Knave of Hearts) and Matt Lucas (as both Tweedledee and Tweedledum).

Alice in Wonderland is scheduled for release on March 5, 2010, which the trailer calls a very important date.
