It seems Alicia Silverstone brought her ditsy character in Clueless to real life. The actress has posted an utterly bizarre and somewhat disturbing video of herself chewing up her 10-month son's breakfast and then spitting it into his mouth.

On her Website The Kind Life Silverstone describes her delicious breakfast constituted of miso soup, collards, radish (steamed and drizzled with flax oil), and cast iron Mochi with nori wrapped outside, and some grated daikon.

I fed Bear the mochi and a tiny bit of veggies from the soup...from my mouth to his, she said speaking about her 10-month son. It's his favorite...and mine. He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth if I'm eating. This video was taken about a month or 2 ago when he was a bit wobbly. Now he is grabbing my mouth to get the food, she added.

In the video, Silverstone is seen munching on the food, before dribbling it into the infant's mouth from her own mouth.

The video has had mixed reviews. Some say it is a healthy way for the baby to build natural immunities, while others say it prevents the baby's development.

This is cute....however I do not think this is a good thing if u do this on constant basis. All children must develop skills to do these things on their own. Also I don't think that is something most mothers would want our children doing at the age that they can do it on their own....kind of embarrassing in public ....it would be as if u kept your child breast feeding at an age appropriate time for a bottle or cup, Vanessa Quick said in a comment.

Some viewers of the video worried for the child's future. Cindy Manfra says:

We are humans, not birds or other animals that do this. We chew our own food for a reason. We have teeth for a reason. Aside from the fact that this is weird and unhealthy for the baby (because you are passing your germs to him), he needs to learn to chew and eat his own food, without your help. He also needs to learn that this is NOT NORMAL, or he will be going to school and expecting his teacher to chew his food for him, and will get made fun of by other kids (Which by the way, he will get made fun of all his life with the name BEAR. I mean come on, really??)

Silverstone seemed content at the end of video, sheepishly smiling as she wipes the food from the mouth. She is raising her son to be a vegan.
