Samsung is apparently gearing up to release the successors to Galaxy A lineup of devices. Earlier rumors pointed to premium design for the mid-range handsets. Now, a bunch of live photos showing the alleged Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 successors have emerged.

The mid-rangers Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2016 are believed to come with flat glass rear panel, similar to the high-end Galaxy S6 series. The leaked photos from China’s Anzhuo picked up by Sam Mobile point to key details specific to the exterior. Except for the single-LED flash right next to the camera unit and the company name beneath the sensor, rest of the back panel is quite plain. The loudspeaker, on the other hand, is believed to be located at the bottom of the handsets.

The front panels of the Galaxy A5 and A7 have not gone through significant changes, as it carries the typical Samsung look. Speaking of Galaxy A5 2016, the home button is relatively taller when compared to the predecessor. This means, there is a possibility that a fingerprint sensor could be part of the phone, GSM Arena reported.

It is worth noting that fingerprint scanners are not new to Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A8 comes with one and the upcoming Galaxy A9 is also rumored to house this authentication mechanism.

When it comes to the Galaxy A7 2016, the device is rumored to feature 2.5D front glass panel. However, this glass will apparently not make it to the Galaxy A5 2016.

As far as the release date goes, the Galaxy A7 successor reportedly can be expected in January 2016. The Galaxy A5 successor, on the other hand, will reportedly take a few more months from January.
