Amal Clooney and George Clooney, who have been married for over a year and a half, were spotted fighting at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month, according to Star magazine’s latest report. However, Gossip Cop that debunks celebrity rumors dismissed the magazine’s report.

The couple had a “clash” at the film festival and it was evident that they had been fighting the whole day, according to the Star magazine report cited by Gossip Cop. George gave Amal a “hand as she walked up the stairs” at the festival, and was seen “planting a tender kiss on her cheek,” the report said.

“Once inside [the festival], it was obvious to everyone there that George and Amal had been fighting all day,” a source told the magazine, according to Gossip Cop.

The source also said that the British-Lebanese lawyer had a “scowl” throughout their appearance at the film festival, and the two “barely said a word to each other” at the afterparty for the 55-year-old actor’s “Money Monster” at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. “It looked like George truly regretted bringing Amal out,” the source added.

Gossip Cop called the Star magazine report "completely untrue" and said the couple did not fight.

In March, it was reported that George was seen affectionately embracing and kissing a woman in California, while Amal was not around. But, the gossip debunking website said the report was “fabricated” and the actor hugged the woman “platonically.”

George and Amal got married in Venice, Italy, on Sept. 27, 2014, and have been spotted getting intimate on several occasions. In January, reports speculated if Amal was pregnant but George dismissed the rumors.
