Amber Heard Spoke About Johnny Depp In ‘Disparaging’ Terms, Actress ‘Morphed’ Into Ex-Husband’s Version

Amber Heard’s former assistant just testified against the actress amid her ongoing court battle against her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

In the court documents obtained by The Blast, Kate James revealed that she served as Heard’s assistant between 2012 and 2015. At that time, Heard just started dating Depp and based on James’ accounts, working for the “Aquaman” star has been a nightmare.

According to James, she didn’t have any idea that Heard was dating Depp at first because she referred to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star using disparaging terms. Heard used to describe Depp as an old man that she was dating, presumably because of their huge age gap.

Eventually, Heard disclosed that she was actually dating Depp, and James had the opportunity to meet the actor shortly after. The former assistant’s first impression of the actor was that he was soft-spoken, peaceful, and a bit shy. Depp was also very pleasant and courteous upon meeting James.

Over the course of their relationship, James claimed to have noticed some odds changes coming from Heard. The former assistant also said that Heard almost morphed into a version of Depp.

“When I first visited Johnny’s home, I couldn’t believe how similar it was to what Amber was in the process of trying to create. It was almost identical. She went on and had Laura purchase an old-fashioned typewriter after she saw that Johnny had one. She threw away all paperback books and began curating an extensive collection of First Edition hardcover books (which I believe Johnny purchased for her at great expense). I found all this behavior to be quite bizarre,” James said.

The former assistant added that when she first met Heard, her clothing style was quite preppy. But shortly after she and Depp started dating, she tried to morph into a bohemian way of dressing. She also started to wear more silver jewelry, started wearing hats, and it seemed as though she was mimicking Depp’s style.
