Amber Tamblyn has clapped back at 70-year-old actor James Woods after the latter denied the former’s story that he had come up to her in the past to offer an indecent proposal. The “Two and the Half Men” alum took to social media to show evidence of the incident.

On Tuesday, Tamblyn took to Twitter to share a screenshot of her conversation with her friend over the phone. The thread in the screenshot shows Tamblyn asking her friend about Woods’ questionable behavior toward them back when they were still teens. The actress’ friend did remember the incident, which took place at Mel’s Diner.

Previously, Tamblyn broke her silence regarding the indecent proposal when she shared that the actor-producer hit on her when she was just 16. However, when a fan brought this revelation to Woods, the latter denied it happened and even said that “it’s a lie.”

Tamblyn, of course, did not back down. She called out Woods on Twitter for insinuating that she had lied about her accusation. “Calling me liar, James? This is now far from over. That I can promise,” the 34-year-old “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” actress tweeted.

The tension between Tamblyn and Woods started after the latter criticized Armie Hammer’s new gay romance movie “Call Me By Your Name” for its alleged indecency, as per The Daily Beast. In the film, Hammer apparently portrays a 24-year-old who falls in love with a 17-year-old. Woods was not pleased with the movie, so he wrote on Twitter, ”As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency.”

Woods even used the NAMBLA — short for North American Man/Boy Love Association — hashtag to refer to the organization that’s said to be advocating pedophilia and pederasty.

When Hammer learned about Woods’ response to his new project, he called out the veteran actor for actually engaging in the same type of relationship with a huge age gap between partners. “Didn’t you date a 19 year old when you were 60…….?” Hammer wrote, referring to Woods’ romance with Ashley Madison when he was 59 and the latter was only 19. And this was not the last time that Woods had dated a much younger woman. He dated 20-year-old Kristen Baugess in 2013 when he was 66, according to Us Weekly.

Upon learning about Woods’ insult toward Hammer’s flick, Tamblyn herself chimed in to expose that Woods was in no position to criticize the big screen adaptation of André Aciman's novel. “James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. ‘I’m 16’ I said. ‘Even better’ he said,” she pointed out to Hammer.
