Maker of computer processors, Advance Micro Device, has launched its fastest CPU to date, with a stock frequency of 3.4GHz making for the latest addition to its Phenom II series.

The new Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition also offers an update to the Dragon platform and it includes support for DDR3 and AMD OverDrive 3.0.

The Phenom II X4 965 supports DirectX 11 as well.

Official Prices are yet to be made by the company but the suggested international retail price is $245 (R1 960).

The launch will make for the highest clocked AMD CPU ever available.
