It’s a good week to be an “American Horror Story” fan. After a couple months of being kept in the dark about Season 4, the FX series is now revealing some exciting (and potentially frightening) new spoilers about its upcoming season. The latest scoop? The filming location for “Freak Show”!
According to Nola.com, a spokesman for 20th Century Fox Television confirmed that Season 4 will be filmed in New Orleans … despite its Jupiter, Fla. setting.
As we previously reported, “Freak Show” will be set in 1950 and star series regular Jessica Lange as a German expatriate who is “managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.” Her “unusuals” or performers will be “American Horror Story” vets Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett and Frances Conroy. Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also reportedly “in talks to return.”
This isn’t the first time that “American Horror Story” has set up shop in New Orleans. Season 3 of the FX mini-series was set and shot in the Big Easy. Fans of the series can even visit some of the locations used during filming of “Coven.”
