“America’s Got Talent” Season 11 winner Grace Vanderwaal recently celebrated her 13th birthday. But instead of buying something nice for herself, she decided to give her adorable pug puppy, Frankie, a present.

On her Instagram account, the 13-year-old Suffern native revealed that she bought Frankie a dog carrier, so it will be easier for her to carry him around while traveling. In the new video posted to her page, Frankie’s carrier is safely strapped on Vanderwaal’s chest and shoulders. The singer and her dog both look excited since they were on the road at the time of posting.

Vanderwaal spent some of her $1 million prize money from the talent competition on Frankie. She revealed during a recent interview that she wanted to get a tree house, but it has yet to be built. While waiting, she decided to get a puppy.

Vanderwaal appears to be very smitten with her dog, and Frankie instantly blended in easily with the Vanderwaals. The “Clay” singer even went as far as to create an Instagram account for her new baby. At present, Frankie already has more than 45,000 followers on his social media account. One of the latest posts on his IG was of Vanderwaal mocking Frankie’s face while both of them were lounging on the sofa.

Other than taking care of Frankie, Vanderwaal will soon be back at the studio to make new music. During an interview with Rolling Stone, producer Greg Wells said that he’s so proud of Vanderwaal and was shocked when the two of them first worked together for her EP, “Perfectly Imperfect.”

“I wasn’t sure what I was walking into by working with Grace in the studio. It was her first time ever in a proper recording studio and I envisioned several different potential horror stories. Within the first 10 minutes of working on music together, I was happily surprised to find that I was working with a real artist,” he said. Wells added that he can’t wait until the next time he and Vanderwaal will team up again.
