“America’s Got Talent” Season 11 winner Grace Vanderwaal recently announced that she’s safe and sound following the recent attacks in London.

On her Instagram account, the 13-year-old revealed that she and her dad were supposed to go to a place just a minute or two away from where the attacks happened. Luckily, they found out about what happened and decided to change their itinerary. The “I Don’t Know My Name” singer added that she and her dad left London a day after the heartbreaking incident took place and promised her fans that she will be back.

Vanderwaal flew back to Austria from London, but before leaving the capital of England, the “Clay” singer performed a few songs at a ukulele shop called Duke of Ukelondon. While there, she met an adorable black pug and took a selfie with him. Vanderwaal also has a pug back at home in New York which she bought after winning the hit NBC reality TV competition.

After her recent trips, Vanderwaal will be heading back to Los Angeles to continue recording her first full-length album.

While speaking with Bustle last month, Vanderwaal shared that she wants the album to be released in September. “It’s kind of a work in progress. It’s not even close to done, but it’s coming up, and I’m so excited about it. It’s gonna be the fun, cool, awesome one. I’m really excited. I want to put a little more into this one, a little more depth,” she said.

Unfortunately, Vanderwaal cannot share any more details about her upcoming project. What is only known is that it will still be under Simon Cowell’s recording company, SyCo records.
