“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 recently saw six acts being sent home after not receiving enough votes to advance to the semifinals.

In the first quarterfinals episode on Tuesday night, 12 acts performed at the Dolby Theater in the hopes of being saved by the viewers. Unfortunately, only comedian Preacher Lawson, singer Angelica Hale, roller skaters Billy & Emily England and ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer were saved.

Judge Howie Mandel’s golden buzzer recipient Christian Guardino was one of the three contestants who became part of this season’s first Dunkin Save. He was joined by South Korean dance crew Just Jerk and Miami singer Yoli Mayor. In the end, Guardino was automatically saved after viewers were asked to vote during the live results show.

Judges Mandel, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Mel B had to decide whether they think Just Jerk or Mayor deserve a spot in the next round. Cowell and Klum voted to keep Mayor, while Mel B and Mandel voted to keep the dance troupe. Since there was a tie, host Tyra Banks opened the envelope with the results of the Dunkin Save text voting and announced that Mayor will return for the next round.

Meanwhile, the six contestants who were sent home included daredevil Bello Nock, young dancers Artyon & Paige, the Singing Trump and Puddles Pity Party. Nock became the first wild card contestant in “America’s Got Talent” Season 12. During the first live show, Cowell admitted to watching his judge cuts performance and feeling the need to invite him again.

Nock also did a death-defying stunt in the live shows, but his act did not fare well among the voters. Artyon & Paige also received positive comments from the judges, but they did not earn enough votes. The Singing Trump and Puddles Pity Party both received negative comments from the judges after their performances. The former was out of sync while performing his song number, and Cowell wasn’t impressed by Puddles Pity Party’s singing chops when he sang Lorde’s “Royals.”

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
