Anderson Cooper always looks so put-together, one would never think that he rarely washes his jeans.

Cooper had Stacy London, host of TLC’s “What Not to Wear Host,” on his show “Anderson Live” Thursday, where he admitted his fashion faux pas, according to the Daily Mail.

“I wear the same thing every day. These are TV clothes. These are not my actual real clothes. In my real life I wear a T-shirt, grey or white, same pair of jeans. Literally, the same pair of jeans every day,” he said.

“They have these jeans you don't have to wash now, or so they say. No, it's true.”

London, who helps fashion victims developing more stylish wardrobes on her hit show, seemed incredulous at his confession, asking, “What jeans are those, Anderson?”

“I went to this store APC, which has really nice stuff. And you buy these things and the person said to me like don't wash them for a long time. They mean like six months, I think,” he explained, adding that to wash his jeans he simply hops in the shower with them on, rinses them with a little soap, and leaves them to air dry.

“Isn't that how you are supposed to do it?” he said.

According to London, however, jeans should not be washed with soap, but rather just in water and air-dried. While soap is not advised as it “messes with the grain,” cold water is recommended because it “keeps the integrity of the denim.”

“I have to say six months is probably a little long,” she said to Cooper.
