At a time when Apple fans around the world are becoming au fait with the new iOS 6 in their iPhones, iPads and iPod touches, many Android users are still waiting to get their hands on the Android Jelly Bean (4.1) that was released months before, with Google Nexus 7 as one of the first devices to ship with it.

As Redmond Pie noted, the main reason for the delay is the fragmented nature of Android. Although fragmentation doesn’t always necessarily be a bad thing, it is indeed turning out to be one in terms of waiting for an Android over-the-air (OTA) update.

In a bid to clear up the confusion related to the Jelly Bean update among its millions of smartphone and tablet users worldwide, Samsung released a list of 15 devices Monday that would get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, which Samsung says is “coming soon.”

Here are the Samsung devices via SlashGear that are likely to taste Jelly Bean soon:

- Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

- Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

- Galaxy Note 10.1

- Galaxy S II

- Galaxy Note

- Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

- Galaxy S Advance

- Galaxy S II LTE

- Galaxy Music

- Galaxy Chat

- Galaxy Ace 2

- Galaxy Beam

- Galaxy Ace Plus

- Galaxy Mini II

- Galaxy S DUOS

You must be surprised to see the Galaxy S3 smartphone not included in the list. But don’t be disappointed. If what a member over at XDA-Developer (via The Next Web) spotted was true, Samsung has already started rolling out the Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3.

According to XDA forum user victorator, the South Korean tech giant “has begun rolling out official Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) updates via its KIES software and over-the-air, with Polish device owners becoming the first users to see the new Touchwiz-enabled operating system arrive on their smartphone," TNW reported.

According to SlashGear, the 282.5MB update contains Google’s new Project Butter interface acceleration and support for Google Now while it is being pushed out via tethered upgrade rather than OTA.

“For the moment, it’s Eastern European countries which appear to be getting Jelly Bean on the GSIII first, including Poland, Croatia, Macedonia, and Serbia,” the report added.
